Hofstra University officially now has a new minor. The Center for Civic Engagement had been working to establish the Civic Engagement minor and now it it is finally here! To all of you students who are still undecided, this minor could be for you. The minor requires 18 semester hours, where students can develop the skills needed to facilitate community involvement, public advocacy and community building.

Students are now able to earn academic credit while doing good. Students can decide which of the community partners they can work with on important local and national issues such as community development, affordable housing, poverty alleviation , social services for families in need, labor and human rights of immigrant workers, and peace building!
